In 21st centuryInformation Technology is the central dogma of knowledge for anycivilized society. Today all field of knowledge need help ofcomputer science for their ramification and manifestation.But still our society is divisible into three categories one iscomputer literate and another computer illiterate and third oneis super skilled equipped with knowledge of computer technology. Ourcountry is moving fast and competing with whole of the world, under such circumstances itis essential for us to bridge the gap among all three categories ofpopulation. So, with the aim to bridge the gap and support oursociety to transform for 21st century, Department of Computer Sciencehas been launched in 2013 and since then department is moving aheadto achieve the goal.

Our vision is toprovide skilled resource person in the field of computerapplication and information technology to our society, so thatour upcoming generation may translate our society at par to worldlevel knowledge. Our specialized vision is to bring the youth ofChhattisgarh especially tribes on main track of modern knowledge togenerate livelihood among them.

Mission
To fulfill above vision our mission is –

  • To produce skilled stakeholder to the society in the field of computer science and information technology with various forms of degree.
  • To generate job oriented skilled society.
  • To make literate our society for computer science.
  • To provide solution to all branches of knowledge by the help of information technology.

·        Lack of proper classroom for classes.

·        Students are from socio, economically and geographically backwardregion.

·        Language problem among the students.

Opportunities

·        Confidence building through seminars and group discussions andpersonality development through interactive sessions.

·        Students are motivated and guided by able faculty member to get higherdegree and appear in NET, SLET and other competitive exams.

·        Maximum students those have passed UG from our college are working ongood position.

Challenges

·        Student-teacher ratio is unexpectedly high at the UG level.

·        To teach and conduct practical classes of the students with poorfoundation and background.

·        Insufficient infrastructural facility.

·        Future plans of the department.

·        Toorganize seminar/ workshop on different themes in future.
